In the email, please state the following:

  • 2. What skill(s) / qualities do you have that would be helpful to your role(s)?
  • 3. Have you heard about the Society before and/or have you been to any events previously.
Please answer in as much detail as possible, the more information we receive - the more we can be of help to you! Recommended Minimum Word Count for Application: 120-150.

As a UOW Student, volunteering can be a great way of getting a taster of the society's behind-the-scenes and overall dynamic, which is especially useful if you're considering applying for one of the Committee Positions at the AGM. 

What's the difference?
A Committee Position is an official year-long role in UWSU Film Society where you can actively shape the Society and its operations from projection and marketing to admin and hospitality. You will be apart of the Committee Group Chat where meetings are announced, decisions are made and ideas/thoughts + programming is discussed.
Costing just £2 to become a member of the Society of the year, you'll be supporting the Society's committment to providing excellent screenings & events, in addition to joining a community of hundreds of members where, periodically, you'll be able to vote on what films are chosen at special Members Choice Screenings!
